Re: 2018 Mexican Grand Prix
In the hypothetical scenario that Ricciardo leaves early, who would take his place? Buemi? Would they just promote Gasly immediately? And if they did, who would take Gasly's place? Motorsport is reporting it now too: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/ricciardo-helpless-cursed-red-bull-gasly-mexico...

HOOOH BOY, and now this: Ricciardo: No point turning up to last two races I don't know how reliable this source is, but that would be quite an acrimonious end to Ricciardo's relationship with Red Bull. Could that mean we get a driver change after all this year, finally? -knocks on wood to avoid jinx...

I dreamed/daydreamed/fantasized that Grosjean got two penalty points on his licence in Mexico and was duly banned for the next race in Brazil, and that Haas replaced him with... Kubica! Now Kubica is saying (again) that he doesn't want to wait until December for Williams to confirm him in the race seat: Autosport reports it It sounds almost like a warning from him, like he is exhorting the team to get on with it or he's gonna do something else. After the news that they were talking...

Wehrlein has now signed for Mahindra in FE. I guess he won't be driving the Toro Rosso next year then, eh? Who could that second seat go to then? Not Buemi, he's been confirmed for FE and WEC again. I thought we could nominate two drivers for IIDOTR, or has that rule changed?
Because this race was full of many improbable drives.
Anyway, my choices would be
1. Leclerc - Awesome performance!
2. Alonso - What a king this guy is, too.

Williams... Four years ago they had a front row lockout and finished 3rd in the WCC, now they're propping up the back of the grid. What a shambles. It's painful to watch indeed. I think even having Kubica as a driver would not have helped them much this year.
