Re: 2018 Tony Fernandes Memorial Trophy
...If Force India had had their name change, this would have actually been an interesting season. Instead... not so much. Well, in the end they not only had a name change! Does that make them eligible for 2019 after their DSQ? Taking McLaren's 2008 as an example, Force India would be eligible on ac...

Re: Monaco GP holiday
I was there in 2012. It was alright. Nah, it was great, one of the few tracks left on the calendar where you can get properly close to the action, and there's a real sense of history just being there (90 years next year, that should be special). You would do well in looking at staying in Nice and th...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Belgium
I didn't even know the Raidillon thing was a meme. I had noticed an increase in people correcting it though, to the point where I began to wonder if it's really a misconception or if most people don't actually care seeing as it's only a difference of a few dozen metres of track length. And rightly s...

Re: Ponderbox
Wasnt sure where was best to post this but whilst I'm a fan of the current numbering system, I was wondering which teams would have what numbers if it was to change back to the pre 1996 season, so I had a thought about it: Working with what we have championship-wise, we'd end up looking at the foll...

Re: Common Misconceptions
I had intended to get back on this (my drafts folder looks like this and, yes, most of those is a different misconception), and a certain video game released in the year 2000 that I discovered I cannot "play" (if that's the right word. "Research" might be more appropriate) got me...

Re: The Reject Research Material Thread
If this is happening, ten drivers wouldn't be anywhere near enough to do anybody any justice, especially for the BSCC era. I'd suggest a top 32 (believe me, it's doable).
(Also, this is in the wrong thread, but if I try to move the posts into the appropriate one, things might break...)

Mario nailed it. Vettel's the obvious candidate, but it was the product of a common theme up and down the pitwall.

Latifi might want to try a change of car .... I have a fondness for Sergio Canamasas (yes..really) so I'd like to see him back.. more realistically will someone pay for Ilott, or Zhou, or Mazepin to step in? Has to be Cecotto Jr. It'll be his tenth (partial or full) season! I know who it is... It's...

ATTENTION ANY ITALIAN SPEAKERS: Our very own WaffleCat is writing a profile on the Tecno team that competed in F1 in 1972-73, which should hopefully make for fantastic reading. Through his research, he's found a very detailed Autosprint article from late-1971 about their then-upcoming F1 entry. The...

Re: Reject of the Britain - Race
As utterly stupid as he was, Santino Ferrucci shouldn't be a serious nominee. I'd suggest changing it to either the DRS zone through Abbey, or Sauber. Why not? Off-track drama got ROTR back in the old days more than once, so I do not see why a F2 driver should not be eligible to receive ROTR. We mu...

Four options up for the next 48 hours. There were a lot of popular suggestions, and so I tried my best to narrow it down to the best four. Once again, sorry if yours wasn't on the list. Eight of you were correct, it was indeed Mercedes who won the 1914 French Grand Prix, as the merger with Daimler was still a decade away. Due to the state of European politics at this time, the Lautenschlager win did not go down well with the French spectators... Oh, and Mercedes won Reject of the R...

If it's okay to enter a one car independent team - Welshman Christopher Roberts (born 13/04/1946) would like to enter the series for the full season. If accepted, he'll bid £100k for the Token RJ02 chassis 1/engine. (I'm really sorry I didn't realise there was a deadline) Also, I would like to offi...
