Re: 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix

Am I the only one who enjoy those sparks? I mean it added a sense of speed. Nope, you're not the only one. I love them. I remember wishing for them to come back during the Schumacher era, I even thought about setting up a petition to return to titanium skid blocks around about 2005. I can't tell yo...

Re: 2016 Bahrain Grand Prix

At this rate, I'm wondering if Haas will be able to sneak onto the podium at some point this year. It'll take a race with a good chunk of retirements, but I see no reason why they couldn't if they keep this pace up with Grosjean. Positively surprised by the performance of Stoffel "Van Door"...

Re: 2016 Silly Season Thread

Spyker-Toyota! I am surprised that you didn't bring up Spyker-Ferrari from 2007 - as for a more historic example, you could have Matra-Ford or Lancia-Ferrari. I suppose the most confusing might be the Ligier entries of the early 1980's, where you had Ligier running Talbot branded Matra engines. Nob...

Re: McLaren's new livery

First time I saw the old Marlboro livery for real I was surprised at how bright it was - that kind of dayglo red/pink that the Dynorod vans had (no plumbing jokes please). On the telly it just looked bright red. You mean kind of a fluorescent colour? I only say that, because that also happened with...

Re: 2015 Spanish Grand Prix thread

I don't understand why everyone's kicking off...we should be actively wanting something more like this: BAH! You stole my thunder... I was just going to reply with exactly the same thing I say bring on the livery change... the more we can reminisce about Yamamoto's heroics 5 years ago, then the bet...

Re: Webber on Top Gear tonight

So these people were "hotly tipped" to become the new presenters?? Shows how much I know :P

Guy Martin... I would never have thought of him myself, but what a brilliant choice. He should be perfect!

Re: Hello everyone! New members' check in desk

Technically this might be cheating (I already welcomed myself here well over a year ago)

BUT...
I'm going to make myself welcome again because I ended up hibernating for a year :D Hello again, hopefully the stay is permanent this time!

The best driver lineups...before they were actually any good

A few years ago, in my travels for F1 goodness, I came across this pic from 2001: http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/79662000/jpg/_79662441_jenson_button_pa1.jpg Jenson Button? Nah, he's a lazy playboy. Giancarlo Fisichella? He hasn't won a single race. Fernando Alonso? He's barely an adult! Mark...

Re: Hello everyone! New members' check in desk

Good evening, chaps (and chappettes?... well, you never know!). I've finally completed the massively daunting task of poking my head into cage of animals that is the F1 rejects forum, years after being shown the place by a fellow F1 nutter :)

Well... hello, I guess :D may good times lay ahead!
