Hamilton will not start the race in his Q2 tyre set. Instead, Pirelli are giving him a set with the same mileage. Actually, it says a lot when both Renault drivers could have had such terrible races - with Magnussen earning himself a penalty for the Canadian GP for his behaviour - and yet still be overlooked. I think you're thinking of the Kvyat incident? Daniil got the penalty, not K-Mag. Unless I missed some...

In fact, given that Bernie has dreamt for years about cracking the US market, I wouldn't be surprised if he is privately encouraging Haas to do this given that it would potentially expose F1 to a much larger audience in the US. Daniel Ricciardo has now finished 4th in the first 3 races, which seems rather unusual, however Mark Webber managed to go one better and finished 4th in the first 4 races of 2012!

Webber also managed to go on to take...you guessed it! 4 podiums that season.

I have the feeling Williams will mess with the strategies again despite having and interesting set of tyres. Well, what's new? I feel that they cannot mess it forever. On pure odds only. Someday they will nail it! So why not China? If they do it now, maybe they can get it right again in Silverstone...
