Osella and the Ferrari protection
I've read in several pages that Osella was under some kind of "protection" of the Scuderia in the 80s, during the FISA-FOCA war. That's why Enzo Osella sided with Balestre, that's why they participated in the '82 San Marino GP and that's why they managed to avoid Ecclestone's wrath that pr...

You would guess right, but even after re-reading that part it feels like a bit out of the "respectful and reverent" zone. But maybe it's just me. I didn't want to start an argument.

Re: New Team Profile - AGS
may I be so bold to criticize the article a little bit? The article ridicules AGS for not having a carbon element under the airbox, but in fact, it was a fairly new design element in 1989. March didn't have one, Larrousse didn't have one, Williams didn't have one, neither did Zakspeed, Osella, Rial,...

The Jolly Club name appears on three totally different occasion in F1, but still I can't find any concrete information about them. First they sponsored Silvio Moser in his attempt to create his own car. As far as I knwo they financed the Bellasi F1 car and Moser even renamed his team to Jolly Club S...

It would be great to see something similar to F1R teams/drivers articles. The Aus GP had shown clearly the fundamental issues of current F1. 1) Any radical rule change, combined with he notorious ban of any testing or midseason development means that one team gonna dominate the sport until the next radical rule change. Now it's Mercedes, but it was Red Bull, McLaren, Rena...

It was never confirmed that Tyrrell would have cheated with the weight. In fact, Tom Prankerd's thorough analysis shows that the cars were constantly running on a similar pace making any accusation's credibility about cheating is at least doubtful.

I don't think they would have got the entry for granted. If you remember, Andrea Moda could not get away with Coloni's entry after taking over what left from that team. Also, Scuderia Italia merged with Minardi, so they were the legal successors. FIA tends to interpret team succession restrictively ...

You're right that's unpopular. At least with me. I don't like Abu Dhabi, not the slightest bit. The whole race can only happen because idiotic oil-billionaires couldn't find any other way to waste their money... Abu Dhabi is one of the places where F1 never should have ventured IMO.

I think the idea is great. In fact, I would even ban midrace modifications in the cor setup except of wing adjustments (in the pits), brake balance and differential setups. Yeah, because F1C always uses default settings if it can't find what the file defines. So if the GDB file doesn't define a setup file or there is a typo in the folder's name, the game will still check the Save folder for the defined SVM file. It's pretty neat because it makes the game more or less f...
