I'm gonna check this out soon. Do you have the same issue with DM's other mods? I could play '94 and '95 without issue.

Lauda is the past. And he is a world champion. I can't see why would he accept any offer from a newly established backmaker team.

Re: EA Sports F1 Manager Reject events

This game is one of the biggest "could have been" in F1 gaming history. It had EA backings, complex system, dynamically changing driver, car and part stats, a car composed of several components, you could actually recolor your car with your sponsors... And they still managed to completely ...

Re: Only in a game.....

I got F1 2013 today and I gave it a try. It wasn't worth it. Not taking into account that the controls are awkward, you have no sense of speed whatsoever so you constantly have to watch the tachometer, there is no tire skid sound so you don't get any response if you're too slow or too fast in the co...

Large for Ayrton Senna, medium for Stefan Johansson. We either need a raw diamond, or an experienced veteran to improve our car. Ideally I would like two Empires on the field, one for a young prodigy (Senna, bellof or Berger) and another for a veteran (Johansson, Jarier, or maybe de Cesaris)

Finish the session only if there is no more time to make an out + hot lap, otherwise many AI cars will do a last run ignoring their previous performance. Both mod genre have their pros and cons. The CK mod uses physics almost identical to the stock game, and thus, it is better balanced. You play David Marques' mod. The AI is very easy to beat, even on 100%, because it can't control the cars on an optimal level. You have to increase the difficulty as high as 115-120% to meet a real hardcore challenge. Another thing about David's mods is that they are not perfectly balanced. Sure, th...

Re: F1 Challenge '99-'02

This, in most of the cases has nothing to do with the number of the cars. If the car simply leaves the track and crashes (typically in Monaco and Montreal), that's because of the physics of the mod you're using. The AI was designed for the stock physics of the 99-02 cars with high gripping tires and...

I still prefer F1 Challenge above any of those.
rFactor has no real weather simulation, plus AI is eve more awkward than F1C's.
GP4 has limited modability, it can't support more than 22 cars and 17 races.

That's why I don't play Codemasters' F1 series. It is just ridiculous... I'm not saying that it will stay the same forever, but so far, F1C or F1GP2-3-4 are far better than anything the new series could offer. Including fair challenge.
