Re: How long will Hamilton and Rosberg remain friends?
The idolisation of Senna is not doing him any favours at all unfortunately. For starters, Senna's heyday was nearly 25 years ago now and the world has moved on greatly since then. Secondly, Ayrton had plenty of undesirable characteristics and lastly, trying to be anything other than yourself is fool...

Re: Jules Bianchi IIDotR - 2014 Monaco Grand Prix
I thought putting Kimi in the car was a bizarre decision at the time, and passing up Perez and Hulkenberg. I agree that both drivers could be leaving them this year.

I am just so happy for them. They have been through a lot and I know the Maria De Villotta accident was a particularly tough time for them. I hope they are having a mahoosive party tonight.

I suspect that in terms of foul play and mind games, they are as bad as each other. Rosberg is better at containing his emotions though and presenting a cheerful side to the press. If it comes down to a battle of wits then my money's on Rosberg. He will know how to push Hamilton's buttons.

Re: How long will Hamilton and Rosberg remain friends?
Well Hamilton was never that high in my estimation to start with, but the way he has behaved, compared to Rosberg being very magnanimous, has made it clear to me who I want to support.
He's not going to have it all his way at Mercedes, and the sooner he accepts that, the better.

Re: Most marketable F1 driver
Interesting thread. Hamilton has obvious appeal, but is a bit too prone to putting his foot in it. Mercedes seem to be sorting that out with him, although whether there is a correlation between improved results and his PR skills, well I wouldn't like to speculate. It depends on the territory really....

For me it had to be Kimi. It really looks like he's gone into CBA mode and that makes me very cross given that Hulkenberg should have had that seat in the first place.

I'm going to give my thoughts from the perspective of a sport I know very well: gymnastics. Gymnasts need to be small and light. Although it's a very inclusive sport, those who don't fit the bill in terms of body type are very unlikely to make it past a certain level. However in the 80's and early 9...

Well it's plausible, anyone in a coma for this long would lose a lot of weight.
I was chatting to someone today who spent 12 months in a coma. She had some speech and mobility issues but still had a very good quality of life. That gives me some hope.

This is the best driver line-up they have had for some years, and that's a good start. Re: Michael Schumacher skiing accident
At last, some positive news from an offical source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26541565
I am assuming here that the Schumachers understand the difference between reflex reactions and controlled reactions from someone who is in a coma.
So this would suggest that he is now in a natural coma and (I hope) breathing unaided. Now we wait.

As an aside, do we really want a championship where 1/3rd of the cars are effectively handicapped and running in another series? I suppose he feels that now he has left Ferrari, the gloves are off.
I've always doubted Alonso's assertion that he knew nothing. At the very least he would have questioned the strategy, and he may have got an answer along the lines of "just trust us on this, and don't ask".
