Re: 2012 European Grand Prix discussion thread

Maldonado was more than half a carslenght alongside Lewis, he had all the right to be there. Lewis should've given him room.[/quote] maldonado had all four wheels off track and was on the flat run off so had the room to back off. He will be lucky if he escapes a penalty. The rules are pretty clear a...

Re: 2012 Spanish Grand Prix Discussion Thread

Just watched the so called F1 expert on Channel News Asia (Singapore) compare Maldonado with Alex Yoong, in that if Yoong had been able to access a more successful team he could have done what Maldonado had done. He did however fail to mention that Maldonado was a GP2 runner up against Yoong's Malay...

Well putting aside the usual showboat runs we see every year.... the long stints seem to show that Red Bull and McLaren are pretty close at the head of the pack. Hard to tell where Merc and Ferrari are. And the midfield looks good racingly close. Anybody know whats happening with the Lotus/Renaults...

To me sports guys in F1 are forgettable Pirro, McNish, but most certainly Papis. I remember first seeing Papis driving a factory Cadillac in Speed World Challenge, finding out he was in F1, and thinking "Really? When? What Happened?" My thoughts exactly when I discovered Vic Elford and Gi...

I just thought, if the rules for 12 had included that all cars had to carry a 12'' imitation paper staple just before the front wheels.. they could re-name them formula centerfolds. After all, cars have looked like this in the racing mags for years...There you go... a little lateral thinking can cal...

Will be interesting to see just how Iberia-centric they plan to become. If the owners of the team are directing key staff selection based on nationality, rather than being the best for the job, (and there are some indicators that this is the case) might add a new dimension to the whole thing.
