Re: What If?

What if Damon Hill had joined Jordan a year earlier? Probably would have scored their first win a year early, given how good the Jordan was in 1997, no offence to Ralf or Fisichella but a more experienced driver certainly could and would have won a race. I said the same on Big Zeddie's YouTube chan...

Re: 2023 Miami GP ROTR

Actually I'll elaborate - I feel 2002 WAS worse. Ferrari were able to play games then like trying to stage a dead heat, switching at the last minute in Austria, and other games like slowing down then catching up again such as Hungary, or will they/won't they at Nurburgring. At least on this occasion...

Re: 2023 Miami GP ROTR

Stroll to be out of the points when his teammate is on the podium was just about the only thing standout here. Yes and the state of F1 but what can you do, punish someone for being good and give them weight penalties like they used to in Touring Cars? But 2002 and 2004 were very similar and I think ...

Re: Reject of the Race - Baku 2023

I think De Vries got mega overhyped after his performance at Monza last year - it was one race on a circuit which suited the Williams and it was only Latifi in the other car so probably just luck rather than anything else. But Yuki is wiping the floor with him!

Has to be Yuki really. A Red Bull 1-2 even if it was the opposite way round to what was expected thought it was a specialist circuit for Checo, the chasing 3 teams covering 3rd to 8th and Lando top of F1.5 is all expected I guess.

I have it in my mind that if Hill had been in the 1998 McLaren then MSC would have won the championship, as Hill takes more points off Hakkinen than Coulthard does earlier in the season, plus MSC wins Spa because Hill is further up the road than DC so doesn't get lapped and therefore THAT accident d...

I too was going to mention the DRS zone for being far too powerful but I think really it only applied to Red Bull - for other teams it was rather a struggle and just serving its purpose looking at the battles further down such as Magnussen on Tsunoda, the McLarens on Sargeant etc. It would have been...

Very slim pickings here but Magnussen getting an important point for Haas could prove important - especially now Alpine seem to have established themselves 5th in the pecking order. Also Checo - I expected Max to swallow him up once he got into 2nd after the SC that should never have been. We need C...

Yep, an unheralded legend. His most famous race is more well-known for the battle behind him, and his other win seems to have disappeared into the ether (1980 seems to have far less surviving footage than the 70s, then 1981 onwards).
