Re: The No Real Champions Alternative Championship

I like it! Incidentally, by the time you've done another 50 of these (!) and got up to 2001, we'll probably know who the 2010 champ is, so you probably won't have to "re-write" any should Webber or Vettel win this year. I'm thinking Rubens should grab a fair few in his Ferrari years, and m...

Re: Yet another kind of alternate F1 Championship

Another one: remove EVERY champion at the same time, before they even win one title. Don;t get me started on that - I take it you mean just remove all real-time champions from all the results, and see who wins the WDC out of who we're left with? That means Rene Arnoux would be 1983 WDC as he'd only...

They're not in that category listed above, but two more "You Lucky Bastards" could be Monteiro and Karthikeyan as there's no way they'd have got their 3rd and 4th places respectively at Indy '05 without Michelin messing up its tyre!!

Re: Another slightly different Alternative championship

I found the rule I needed when I looked through the regulations, it's rule 45.2: "Cars having covered less than 90% of the number of laps covered by the winner ( rounded down to the nearest whole number of laps ) will not be classified". I trust the rule was the same in 1998, so DC's class...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Singapore!

I thought the Hamilton/Webber thing was 50:50 - one of them needed to have backed off and conceded position to avoid the contact, and neither did, but you're not going to win the championship by conceding the position. For me the ROTR has to be Schumacher (again) - seriously why is he bothering? He ...
