Re: Canadian Grand Prix could be disrupted?

Speaking as a canadian I can honestly say that the students in Montreal have a just grievance but the way they are making themselves heard is disgraceful. A decade ago when I was attending post secondary education in Vancouver the provincial government announced that they were lifting the tuition fr...

Re: Mexico GP should return...

You're all forgetting about the Ferro Sol baseball stadium which was built backing onto the the peraltada curve creating a giant blind spot coming into the corner which would necessitate either a redesign of the corner moving it further out by expanding the two straightaways it links or by bypassing...

For the life of me I just don't understand what the CEO of Indycar was thinking when he came up with the idiotic idea to hold a race at Las Vegas motor speedway without taking into consideration the need for some possible car modifications like running road course wings and limiting the top speed o...

Texas Governor Rick Perry may be an incompetent buffoon who only managed to balance the state budget using some shady accounting while destroying the school system by having the curriculum re-written to include the use of propaganda instead of facts in middle and high school history and let's not fo...

Re: Ford suing Ferrari over use of F150 name

This is such a stupid lawsuit on so many levels. Firstly Ferrari chose the name F150 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of modern Italian statehood. And secondly why would a company as highly respected in the automotive world as Ferrari feel the need to "steal" the name of an american pick...

My vote goes to the race organizers and the FIA for scheduling the race during the rainy/typhoon season in a country where they are known to have massive deluge rainstorms during the winter. The simple fact that the drivers can't see their tires and Jenson Button was asking for a pair of dry gloves...

Re: What Tracks Will Get the Boot?

Judging from what I've read on yahoo sports there are allot of Texans who aren't all that interested in having (or seeing) a Formula One race held in Austin so I don't see it lasting more than a season or two before attendance drops severely. The reason for this is simple: in texas they love their N...

I used to live in Vancouver Canada and we had for many years an Indy car race around false creek in the cities downtown core, The race was a big draw and benefit to the local economy (it was held on labor day weekend) but once the rich jerks who lived in the area started complaining in 2000-01(they ...

Re: Singapore's Conspiracy Theory - Briatore/Symonds leave

This is Renault covering their butts, I'd be willing to bet that Bernie or Max told them to serve up Flav and co on a sliver platter and these "voluntary" resignations are only a way of handing them to the FIA without admitting any culpability themselves. That being said i'm glad to see Fl...

That is one of the strangest looking color schemes that I've ever seen, it looks like a room where somebody couldn't decide what color to paint the space so they just went down to Canadian Tire and bought a bunch of different pastel colors then just threw paint at the walls.

Bourdais is a whining baby who is bringing down his team even Alain Prost says he needs to quit crying all the time so can anyone really fault his teammate or team members for starting to hate his guts. I have to go with Piquet because he just doesn't seem to want to try to be anything more than mediocre. I think that Barrichello has a little bit of a right to complain and feel frustrated about the way he is sometimes treated, in seventeen years of F1 racing he's either been the lead driver in team...

Indy cars were (and are) built to specific specs that are heavily enforced so the budget of the teams is a much less relevant as is the ability to make small modifications to the design that was afforded to the teams with the adjustment in the rules that particular season. I don't think that it has anything to do with F1 being "Too European" but has more to do with the lack of a larger than life American driver who is successful in the series. There hasn't been an American Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna or Micheal Schumacher yet in the current era of F1, Mario An...

Nice to see that McLaren can get away with both lying and cheating with a punishment that amounts to a spanking on the bum and being sent to bed without dinner.
