Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Turkey

1) Kobayashi for proving that the Sauber does have speed and collecting their first needed point. 2) Petrov for giving the fight to Alonso until Alonso cut his tire. Honorable mention goes to Sutil for picking up a point too. That's all I can think of; while the McLarens did do well that was to be e...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Turkey!

Vettel, for ruining Webber's and Red Bull's day. I'm sorry, when you are passing someone YOU have to have responsibility when passing. Vettel was either not thinking or was full of red mist, which as we know, is inexcusable in F1. And here's the thing; Vettel knows how to pass cleanly, and he knows ...

It's odd to think that Bravo, Simtek, Virgin and HRT have connections to each other.

Dont forget Pacific and Lotus!

That was 1995 but I can see where you are coming from.

For me, it's 1994, with the reject teams. Virgin being Simtek, HRT being Bravo, etc.

It's odd to think that Bravo, Simtek, Virgin and HRT have connections to each other.

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Monaco!

I nominate "the newbies" collectively for ROTR. None of the new drivers and none of the new teams managed to finish the race. Uhh, did you actually watch the race? Yes, of course I watched the race. Is my observation not corect? Di Grassi giving Alonso a run for his money in a car that cl...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Monaco!

For me, it has to be Trulli. Inconsequential move for what, 16th? In the last couple of laps, at a place where no man or machine has ever thought about overtaking before. Ridiculous, it was always going to end badly, and it did. Thank God they were both OK, in particular Chandhok was lucky, the Lot...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Monaco!

This from the Autosport article: "The sporting rules state that, "If the race ends whilst the safety car is deployed it will enter the pitlane at the end of the last lap and the cars will take the chequered flag as normal without overtaking." The argument, however is whether the race...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Monaco!

So apparently Schumi got penalized 20 seconds.
http://joesaward.wordpress.com/2010/05/ ... d-20-secs/

If it weren't for Trulli's bullheadedness and Rubens' hissy fit I would have said Schumacher is the ROTR.

Re: 2011 Silly Season

In terms of drivers, I believe a lot hangs on Räikkönen's possible return, just as last time around it hung on his retirement. In terms of teams, I heard Lotus wants a new engine supplier for 2011. Hmmm... I wonder if they could lure Honda back, if they took on Takuma Sato? *mouthwaters* Honda engi...

-Kubica to Ferrari. Maybe, if Massa underperforms. Right now this seems to be the king pin. -Massa to Sauber. I wouldn't be surprised if this were to happen but at the same time I don't see it happening. -Massa to Red Bull No unless Vettel gets picked up by a team like McLaren or Ferrari, and why wo...

Re: 2010 Monaco Grand Prix Discussion

From the TV footage, it appeared Chandhok was touching his head. I hope he's alright. From what I saw Chandhok was touching his head because he didn't want to get hurt more than he has. Seems like a common human move. I saw Brian Herta do the same thing in 1998 when Alex Barron flew on top of his c...

3: Michael Schumacher - Unless Alonso can say that he lost control of that car at that point (which I doubt he will say), Michael had no business overtaking Alonso. The rules clearly state that what he did was wrong. If he gets away with it though, I wouldn't be surprised. This isn't the first time...

1) Di Grassi for the battle with Alonso, and clearly pushing the car to its limits. 2) Kubica for being consistent and fast all weekend. Honorable mentions go to: - Chandhok for having 2 brushes with the Grim Reaper (one for Barichello's wheel, the other for Jarno Trulli's stupidity) - Alonso for co...

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Monaco!

5: Jenson Button - Mediocre qualifying (for a McLaren), slow getaway, and to top it all off a blown engine on lap two. Granted from what I heard that was from a cooling fan that was still in the car, so McLaren gets awarded this also. Is it that hard not to miss a day-glo orange cooling fan? 4: TV C...

But can we now start referring to Kamui Kobayashi as King Kamui Kobayashi? Triple K! It's all about pain and who's gonna make it Is it bad I read that in the tune of...

First time poster but long time reader here. Anyway. 5) The circuit itself - I understand why Bernie would keep the classic circuits, but of all of them, why this one? Granted this year provided a good race (for Catalunya), but otherwise it's just boring. Personally I think they should go to Jarama,...
