Re: The Caterham Thread

I needed to use large text because it's such a tragedy that Lotterer won't be racing. And I don't even like comic sans. But yet, you've missed the point. We're all a bit annoyed that Lotterer has made the (admittedly, better) choice to not race for Caterham, but that doesn't warrant the size a bill...

Re: 2014 Japanese Grand Prix + Couch Discussion Thread

I did wonder why they cut to seemingly pointless footage of the Sauber garage for so long just before the red flag. Stewards used a sheet to cover treatment of Bianchi behind his car in order to block tv from seeing any pictures. Really FIA? Bianchi might be injured. People want to know what happen...

Whatever the aftermath of all this is, I suspect a lot will be made of the conditions being too poor for the helicopter to fly. No doubt we'll see a rule change to allow FIA to overrule all other parties when considering rescheduling a race. Should have been run earlier in the day. With all that sa...

One thing about the bad TV direction is that this has been a problem for the last 15+ years. Back in the ITV days in the late 90s, Martin Brundle was upbraiding the race direction for cutting to shots of people in the paddock, rather than focusing on the race. Noticeably, he doesn't do that any mor...
