Re: Rantbox
Assuming Nakajima and Grosjean both fail to score in the remaining two races (which is very likely), Alonso and Rosberg will have single-handedly won all of their teams' Constructor's Championship points - is that a record? It also means that if Piquet and Nakajima ever end up in a team together the...

Re: Singapore's Conspiracy Theory - Briatore/Symonds leave
All the great circuits have names for straights and corners that evoke the glorious history of the event and those that raced there. Being a new track, Singapore's a bit lacking in this area but I think we can help this with an unnoffical renaming of the now-legendary Turn 17. Options include 'Pique...

Re: Ferrari vs. Williams
The F1 sporting regs (22.1(a)(i)) make a specific exception for 'promotional or demonstration events carried out using tyres provided specifically for this purpose by the appointed supplier'. I presume the 100km figure has been agreed by the teams separately.

Re: The reject youtube thread
I was looking at some racing vids and came across Tony Kanaan's recent Indycar pitlane fire: m What looked strange to me was that they were using water to put the fire out, rather than the CO2 or foam extinguishers I'm used to seeing in F1 - a couple of guys even resorted to throwing buckets of wate...

Re: Schumi out / Corpse of Badoer's f1 career twitches!
Not only is this an official, listed F1 Reject suddenly getting a top drive - in a Ferrari no less - but a Reject from the golden era of Rejectdom - the 1990s! He's not even a Pedro Diniz, who squeaked into the 2000 season, this is a bona fide '90s Reject. In F1 terms, he's practically a museum pie...

Re: Corpse of Badoer's f1 career twitches
Great news, justice is served! Ferrari could have been a bit nicer to Badoer though - the public statement gives the impression that he's just some guy who's been hanging around the factory for years and they've felt sorry for him. I know full well that testing and racing are very different things, ...

Re: Schumacher to replace Massa
Seriously surprised at this. Suddenly Valencia got that bit more interesting. Spare a thought from Luca Badoer though - with the Ferrari in quite good form this could have been a late chance to escape from F1 Rejectdom.

Re: Your Reject of the Race - Hungary!
Renault is the obvious choice for ROTR - love the shot of Flav waiting for his ride home while Piquet was still trying to salvage a result. It's one thing for the fans to leave a venue early but for a team principal...? BMW have been shocking for a while yet haven't had the decency to fail in a spec...

Re: British Grand Prix Discussion
The usual excessive reliability ruined the race as usual, and this is really starting to get rather worrying, as an important variable, that of unreliability is being marginalised so much that the balance is all wrong in my opinion. Yeah, I used to enjoy watching the spectacular engine blowouts and...

Re: Likely tracks for breakaway series
I'm not a lawyer but if the two parties (the FIA and the circuit) agree exclusivity amongst themselves there's not much that the EU can do about it. However the FIA would have to offer some pretty massive incentives in order to get that kind of deal. As I understand it, many of the classic tracks we...

Great to see an F1 Rejects forum up.
Can I add my attempt for Piquet (with a nod to Ide):
There is a young driver called Piquet
Who was signed by the great Briatore
But too many retirements
And a lack of requirements
Means he's going the way of the Ide
