On a similar theme... in Terminal 5 of Heathrow there was a 2007 R27 Renault painted in this years black and gold livery as some kind of Total promotion, when I went there in July. It might still be there. The people on the stand said they'd be there for a few months already. http://i48.photobucket...

I've always thought there's too much of the samey samey sameness on the calender with regards to what the circuits and events demand of the car. We need more variety so: 1. This is one of the things I actually miss on current races. Until the early 2000s reliability was pretty low and you could expect at least 5 mechanical-induced retirements. Something could happen to the race leader (ask Mika Häkkinen in his championship years) and it's a variable that has been near...

Nope, Sutil will be taken out by Raikkonen, giving Fisichella a clear run FTW. Sutil is too quick to be in a lapped position and too sensible to be taking out a Ferrari at Monza. They have the curious label of being the only team in F1 at the moment who have not won a race in any of their previous iterations. As much as I might want Lola to return to F1 and be semi-sucessful, facts dictate that possibly isn't going to happen. They tried their hand in F3 a couple years ago and the favoured Dallara chassis pretty much handed them their asses. Lola's customer cars in sportcar racing, (LMP1/LMP2) aren't alw...
