Zanardi in a Minardi. I completely forgot about that until Alex mentioned it in his recent Beyond the Grid podcast just prior to his awful accident.

Re: A Grand Prix Rejects interview with Ibrar Malik

Hi everyone As dr-baker alluded to a few months ago, ibsey has since written and published a second Formula One-themed book, this time charting the decline of Team Lotus in the 1980s. They have kindly provided us with a second interview which has just gone live on the website. You can read it here ...

Re: Alex Zanardi cycling accident

Whilst there is at least the positive that his condition does seem to have stabilised, and in particular that there seems to have been some stabilisation in his neurological condition, unfortunately the latest update that has been provided by the doctors does still sound rather grim. It suggests th...

I think I read somewhere that the 1995 F3000 grid was not hugely competitive. So the fact that Rosset finished second in that championship was not something to be shouted about.

Re: The rollercoaster ride of Onyx/Monteverdi (1989-1990)

Great info and I found the fact that Onyx were trying to operating out of Westergate House in 1989 very interesting. Because that was an attractive grade 2 listed Georgian detached mansion so would have been massively expensive and hard for them to expand or implement a wind tunnel. Presumably that ...

I really like the 1985 & 1986 seasons for all the turbo goodness. The latter season also saw an epic battle for the WDC.

Also 1989 to 1991 seemed to have lots of back of the grid teams for us to enjoy.

Re: F1 Rewind on F1 YouTube channel

And reflecting back on the 1994 Japanese race, I was realising how long it took for the safety car to pick up the leader on its first appearance. It didn't come out of the pits and wait for the leader. It just went out and assumed that the leader would eventually, at some point, catch up. Which is ...

Re: Illegal Legal Things

Lotus had a ride height adjustment on their 1986 car (the 98T). It was used during quali sessions which helped Senna bag a number of poles that year. It was also used during the race (after enough fuel had burnt). Other teams questioned it's legality and IIRC it was briefly referred to during the 19...
