Cliffhanger thread

Post by FMecha »

The point of cliffhanger thread is to track series that did not start (pipeline - as in 'stuck in the pipeline'), no further progress (stalled) and those that got cancelled mid-season (cliffhanger). :)

PIPELINE (stuck in testing season/did not start)
  • Lotus Racing League (Group Lotus), annouced January 31, 2012, last activity March 26, 2012. Real-time. (UPDATE: User showed up, will proably start after the end of current (as of writing) F1RWRS season)
  • 'Watka's rFactor championship' (watka), announced January 21, 2011, last activity Ferbuary 17, 2011 (bumped by solarcold in April 8, 2012, proably will never start given user is AWOL). Time setting unknown.
  • World Racing League: Grand Prix Masters (jakesanson), announced December 18, 2011, last activity January 1, 2012 (user AWOL since February). Time setting unknown.

  • Unnamed series [Formula 1 RPG/PBM game] (formula1rpg), announced April 4, 2011, last activity July 11, 2011 (organizer went ill). Set in 1989, apparently.

  • Virtual F1 and F2 (Flaschenpost), announced June 30, 2012 (F1) and August 8, 2012 (F2), last activity September 16, 2012 (F1 - doubts regarding Flaschenpost ignited in November 1) and September 7 (F2). Set in 1989-1990.

Let me know if there anything missing. :)

The GP2 championship nearly died in the pipeline before tristan resurrected it.

The Lotus Racing League is not dead yet, it has just been stuck in a spiral of unmotivation.

I am planning to restart it around the time the F?RWRS seasons start, and make a couple of changes to tie it in with the RWRS universe.

F1 Rejects Masters can be put as a "pipeline" - mostly because my computer is dying on me and I cannot even simulate a race, let alone recording the footage for broadcast.

I'm trying to pretend that my Robot Wars championship never existed at all, just a figment of our combined imagination. :|

Added. I'm not adding Robot Wars since it's not a racing series, as I'm not planning to add a proposed golf series. ;)

F1RPG wasn't started due to the creator's cancer.

I hope the fellow has recovered and beaten the disease. It's been an entire year since he was last here. :|

Well, his fictional character in F1RWRS died a sad death, and he made plans for the hand-over of his team there too. He made plans to leave, he didn't just disappear...

What that means, I don't know for certain. :(

Or even a permanent absence.
